A local video gaming bar’s plans to take business to a new level received backing from DeKalb city leaders. [...] At a recent meeting, the DeKalb City Council voted in support of a special use permit to allow Charley’s Gaming and Rum Bucket Bar to relocate to a new spot in town at 232 W. Lincoln Highway. 6th Ward Alderman Mike Verbic was the lone dissenting vote. Mayor Cohen Barnes and 2nd Ward Alderwoman Barb Larson were absent.
Owner Derick Ibarra urged the council for its support.
